7 STEP PLAN

The following plan is developed to be executed in a group setting.  It is the initial process by which men can evaluate themselves, and then for the facilitator of the class to help the men tailer and support a plan of self improvement for each member who commits himself to the M.M.H.F's charter.  The commitment to the charter is the key to each man's accountability for the benefit of himself, his family, and the brethren.

 

1.) Self-examination of a man’s present condition in regard to spiritual leadership in the home.

     a.) Put down on paper a few sentence statement about how you feel you are doing as a Man, Husband, and/or Father.

     b.)On a scale from 1 to 10 how well are you doing as a spiritual leader of your home presently.

 

2.) Identify some of the ways wives are feeling about a husbands leading style or lack of.

     a.) Read to men excerpts of wives found online expressing feelings about their husbands reluctance

     b.) Obtain from your wife a letter or list of desires or expectations regarding being the spiritual leader.

 

3.) Identify barriers or reasons why or how we are not spiritually leading our family, and how we can

      improve.

     a.) Draw up a list of possible reasons for barriers, and have

     b.) Encourage the reading of Torah portions weekly

 

4.) Develop a process in order to get solid by-in from brothers desiring to improve themselves

     a.) Involve committed men in this process of development

 

5.) Identify spiritual gifts, calling, as well as responsibilities

     a.) Write down your calling, gifts, talents, and possible ministerial experience

 

6.) Discover scripture that teaches very clear responsibilities for Fathers/Husbands in the home.

 

7.) Identify if the wife may be doing things that are contributing to a lax attitude by the Husband

     a.) No finger pointing, Husbands must take full responsibility
