OUR IDENTITY

The desire of the Almighty is for His people to once again be one (echad) with him. Our goal is to help individuals, families, communities and leaders that strive for peace, unity and an intimate relationship with YHVH to finally come together as one.

"Then if my people who bear my name humble themselves and pray and seek my presence and turn from their wicked ways I myself will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land."

This statement by YHVH in 2 Chronicles 7:14 is clearly speaking about the whole nation of Israel, "my people."  However, there is a problem, who are His people?  In a day when Israel is scattered and assimilated into the nations, and when those calling themselves jews in Israel refuse to accept Christians and Messianic believers as brethren, denying them access to the land; how can we possibly come together.

The key to accomplishing this goal is already in the text.  We have to humble ourselves and pray, often expressed in scripture as fasting; set our hearts to seeking his face, beseeching him with the sincere intent of a pure heart, and actively turn from wickedness, which means we must acknowledge; that we are being disobedient in the first place.

What is it that is perpetuating the theological, and dogmatic differences among the many groups of believers?  Pride? man-made traditions, a Nicolaitan hierarchy, man's own ego?  The only way to finally come together as one people which is the only way that is acceptable to the Creator is to simply obey His Word.

It is our desire to enable, propel and encourage the body of believers in His teachings and Instructions for Life (Ha'Torah Chaim).  It does not matter what ethnicity, class, or nationality you are if you give your life to following the Way and will daily follow the example of the Messiah Yeshua than you are already Israel, If you want to be set-apart and become heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven continue to learn what that means by studying and living the Covenant.

Being Israel is a struggle for life, eternal life.  This life is given to us, but we still must fight for it, it comes with some suffering and struggle.  That is how Jacob became Israel in the first place, he struggled with the Angel of the LORD (יהוה/YHVH), and because he was unwilling to let go, unwilling to quit he obtained a new Covenant name, a new identity; Israel.

This name has been difficult for scholars to narrow down its full meaning because of the many nuances involved in language.  First the Masoretic Hebrew extrapolation, and second the ancient Hebrew language itself which has been lost in many senses.  Some of our understanding of ancient Hebrew comes from other words, and what can be drawn from near languages such as Aramaic.

Here is what I have derived in my studies of the full meaning of the name Israel:

You exhibit persistence in struggling with God and have prevailed as sovereign*

Our hope and Mission is that all believers whether Christian, Messianic, or followers of Judaism will begin to see that YHVH has given us and every human soul this opportunity to struggle for the express purpose of realizing that there is ONE who contends with us, and loves us, and wants to be ONE with us.
